With the days warming up over here, it is so tempting to leave the house in as little as possible. But if there is one thing I have learned about dressing for London, it's that the temperatures get drastically chilly in the evenings, even if it had been warm all day. London is also known for being slightly cloudy and overcast... which can lead to moments of chill even during the sunniest of days. So the smartest thing to do is layer... layer... layer!!! If it gets too warm, just take some layers off. If it gets a bit cooler, add some layers back on. It really is that simple guys! The shorter hemline of my dress allowed me to layer it over a slip and also provided some extra interest with a bright floral pattern peeking through. Ive seen gals all over the web styling their chambray button downs as light spring jackets so I decided to try it myself! But just in case that wasn't warm enough (I'm always on the cold side), I added my grandpa cardigan for a cozy finish. And some pearls of wisdom from hubs himself- "Jackie make sure you take a scarf this time because I'm not buying you another one if it gets cold later." So now I never leave the flat without one... even if it stays stashed in my purse!
And a little surprise... the man behind the lens steps out for a cheeky little self timer shot...
***Today I am thankful for Spring time in London... even if it means a little more thinking and coordinating for my outfits than usual, I'll take it!***
