Cat burglar alert! Well that's what they look like to me at least... and can I just say they are the cutest cat burglars Ive ever seen too! These guys and others (some actual cats) are popping up all around east London, courtesy of Malarky. I don't know if it's the stripes or the masks around the eyes, but cat burglar is the first thing that comes to mind when I see these guys! His style is another one of my favorites and I hope to own one some day! Bright, colorful, bubbly, and very cartoon-esque describes this street art to a tee. His work is always adding a bit of rainbow to an otherwise grey London and I (and I'm sure others too) thank him profusely for this!!! You can expect to find his work on the usual surfaces like walls, shutters, and gates, but you might get lucky and see one of the few cars and trucks he's done too! A little fun fact about M, he features quite a lot of foxes... and they are usually on shutters so they are hidden in the day time and out after shop closing hours... get the correlation?
So there's your little street art lesson for the week... what do you guys think? Are you liking the combination of street art and fashion shoots so far? I hope so cause I am! So the weather... yep still kind of chilly for June making this chunky loose knit top perfect! I'm not sure what I was drawn to first, the yellow ombre... the dolmen sleeves... just all of it really. I knew it would be the perfect layering piece and would get a ton of use across all the seasons. Here I'm layering it over a tank that has a lace insert in the racer back... I love little subtle details like that!!! The jeans I am wearing are J Brand and I think I have finally (after 27 years of searching!) found a brand that fits my petite frame!!! Let's take a second for a happy dance shall we... ok, and I'm done. I still need to get them hemmed because I'm also short and let's face it, the right length would be like asking for a miracle so please excuse my rather large cuffs. I felt so comfortable and chic in this outfit (isn't that the ultimate goal really?) and got lots of complements from the girls (thanks ladies!) I spruced it up with some lipstick and some statement jewelery and I was ready for a girls day of brunch and shopping!!!
Cutest cat burglar alert....
***Today I am thankful for J Brand... long over due in my life but so happy we finally found each other!!!***
