Orange Lips...

Going to the flower market to pick out the perfect (and first) xmas tree with hubs certainly called for a special outfit don't you think? As the weather had gotten colder, wearing dresses wasn't so much of an option really, except I have this obsessive need to finish whatever I start (hence I'm still going with my 30 for 30 Remix)... and so I got creative and decided to layer up for outfit 26, I mean who says you cant wear a dress over jeans right??? For me this outfit had the perfect blend of being on the playful side while still keeping me comfy enough to search high and low for our little tree... I also picked up those red poinsettias I'm holding up in the 5th picture and scored a great bargain on some beautiful red roses!!!

What I love the most about this outfit in particular (besides the orange lips of course!) is how the boldly printed floral top complements the texture of the dress. I had a lot going on, yet nothing competed with each other and this only worked because the dress and jeans were both solid colors. Now back to the orange lips... it is safe to say I have converted into a dramatic shade, eye catching, notice me now lipstick wearer... we found the perfect tree alright... but hubs, well he's not too happy about all the lipstick ;)
 

***Today I am thankful for the glorious sunshine we had... although it was accompanied by 30 degree weather, at least there was no grey for a change***
