When I think of animal prints and how huge of trend they've become, I can't help but smile to myself as I recall my own ongoing adventure with them. To be honest with you all, I had never been one for animal prints period, saw them as more of a costume thing and used to think the look could get really trashy and cheap looking when done wrong or overdone in general. Maybe I'll just blame it on growing up in the 90's and the fact that style and fashion then did not agree with the animal print trend.
I'm not really sure when I started becoming curious and wanting to try said animal prints, but I have to admit I remember being nervous about it. I kept thinking things like "can I even pull this off?", "will I look like I'm trying too hard??", and mainly "where do I even start???". I have since found that the easiest way (for me) to introduce animal prints into my wardrobe has been through accessories. First it was a zebra print scarf, then some cheetah print tights, a leopard print belt, and now some cheetah print leg warmers. Here in my day 18 of 30 for 30 Remix, I show you what I mean by using the animal print in an unlikely way. While I still don't think I'm ready for a whole article of clothing, I think accessories are a fun way to go for now!
