My Mini Roadtrip...

As promised, let me fill you in on what I've been up to for the past week... warning, its a long one!

So my journey began with me driving up the east side of Florida to go visit some of my dear, good old friends... Marlena and Jen! I was really nervous and hesitant to drive the 3.5 hrs. (most people don't know but I was in a bad car accident a while back and have been terrified of driving on the highway since). But I thought enough is enough, I can't be ruled by my fear... and so with the car packed, a full tank of gas, and some good old mix cd's, I headed out!

Let's just say this was the over all feel of the soundtrack for drive... remember Lisa Loeb?!?!

Day 1: Loooong drive (for me anyways), followed by a lot of catching up, and some night action... we headed over to the local bar to watch the ultimate fighting championship match or game (this was all Jen's idea) that was on and then danced the night away at CountyLine.

Day 2: Slept in, ate the best pizza in Melbourne at Bizzaro, followed by some great shoe shopping, some much needed knitting, and a girls movie night viewing of the Black Swan!!!!

Day 3: Sushi lunch date with Marlena (we are the original sushi eaters!), enjoyed some pool side time, and Long Doggers for wine, wings, and chit chat!

Day 4: Ran some errands with Marlena and had yummy chick-fil-a from the food court!!! Squeezed in some more knitting, and headed over to Penny Annie to watch Jen play pool (she's in a league!)

Day 5: Caught up with some reading poolside again, did some more knitting, and met Marlena at work, Texas Roadhouse, where they have buckets of peanuts and shells galore on the floor!!!

Yep... that's what married people read!

Day 6: Soaking up all the poolside time I can get, finishing my skinny (the marlena) scarf, and one last hooray with the ladies before I head out in the a.m.

Day 7: Said goodbye with a quick photoshoot of Marlena wearing the finished long skinny scarf, named The Marlena... because she too is long and skinny! Got my morning coffee, music and GPS ready, and headed out west to Orlando to see Stacey... 1 hr. later (I was a little more comfortable driving) I arrived for a lunch and outlet shopping day of fun!!! It was heaven =)

Day 8: Headed home under clear, beautiful skies dotted with fluffy white clouds... couldn't have asked for better driving conditions! As much fun as I had on my little road trip and catching up with great friends, it was definitely time to go... I missed my parents and talking to Ben! This last drive was definitely the best yet... I felt totally confident and actually jammed while belting songs at the top of my lungs. I knew I could do it!!!! Thanks again to Marlena, and Stacey for letting me escape for a little bit... if my visa takes too long, I may come around next month!
